What Happened To My Top?
When puuting my top down today, I noticed some wetness around the mechanism, so I kept the top partially down and wiped off the small amount of water. Then I got interrupted by a telephone call and when I went back to putting the top all the way down, the top wouldn't work - up or down. Now I'm left with a partially opened top
Checking the manual for emergency instructions, it mentions that if the top is left in a partial up/down status, for more than 10 minutes, that the hydraulic pressure seeps out and that you have to go to manual mode.
Well, after reading the about "manual mode", the "tool" necessary, and that the process needs two people to complete, I gave up. So its off to the dealer tomorrow.
Anyone else ever encounter this? Any problems associated with getting everything back in order?

I ran into a similar problem. All I did was play with the safety switch in the trunk. Basically made sure the partition was positioned properly for the switch, and that took care of it. Is the light by the top operation switch blinking when you try to operate the top?

Right now its in the garage at my firend's house a few miles away. I didn't notice any light blinking near the top operation switch, but it was daylight, sunny, and I was in a panic. I'll have to wait until tomorrow to check it again. Thanks for the thoughts.
You don't need the "tool" if you have the top partially down. The "tool" is only used for opening the tonneau cover. The manual also says you can do it by yourself but that two persons will make it easier. Two person can lower the top evenly and not cockeyed. What you need to do is complete the cycle by lowering the top "manually" which means pushing it down into the trunk and closing the tonneau cover. This will reset all the safety switches back to normal and should make the top cycle normally. Besides you don't want to take it to the dealer with the top partially down as the wind resistance will do havoc to the linkages and mechanism not to mention the fabric itself.
