Whistling noise, when gas pedal held constant
Hey Guys,
Just wondering if this has happened to anyone before I take it into the shop. My 2004 coupe auto tranny, is making a whistling/ winding noise that occurs when the gas pedal is held at constant position, the sound comes from the rear of the vehicle has a hydraulic sort of tone to it. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Go on a clear straight road thats lwvel, hear the noise then steer a bit left and the a bit right. Does it change? Could be a bearing in the rear.
Does it sound the same on coast as it does on light acceloration? Could be the differential and rear gear train.
Have you swapped tires left to right to be sure its not the tires singing?
Few thoughts, Woody enjoy
