MAF sensor

Default MAF sensor

How do u remove the Maf sensor? Where can I get the 5star torque security bit?

I got security bits at Harbor Freight..... you can probably get them from the auto parts store too....

I dont have a MAF, so I can't help you there.....

You remove the MAF sensor by removing the two security torx screws (as you mentioned), then pulling it out - BE CAREFUL. It is located just below the rear of the airbox cover - remove that and you would be able to see it - there will be some wires running to it. I can't tell you any more than that as I have the Needswings intake and the MAF is in a little bit different location.

Here are a few pics that show where in the throttle body housing the MAF is positioned.
It is on the drivers side of the car in the side of the plastic elbow attached to the intake manifold at the rear of the engine.

Use a pair of needle nose vice grips and carefully remove the torque security screws and then replace them with a screw you can easily remove like an allan head, or a regular torque head. That's what I've done!

I hope you used a BFH with the narrow nosed vice grips to complement the use of incorrect tools!!!

I have a variety of BFH's, however in this case not required. Thanks for the chuckle!
