Used Supercharger on a N/A model
I came across a used slk supercharger from mercedes. The ad claims the supercharger can be used on an SRT6, but does anyone know if it can just be added to an non supercharged crossfire? If so how much labor? thanks guys

just need to machine a new pulley to slow it down, otherwise it's too much presure for the higher CR of the NA 112.
also need srt6 injectors. the stock timining map is detuned on the NA crossfire so you don't need to reprogram the ecu, just monitor your fuel ratios. start out a 6 psi then bring it up slowly to about 8psi. that's n easy 310 hp
try to search for Chuck Norris Supercharger thread, he'll show you everything you need. if you want I can email you the Low boost Supercharger instruction manual for the SK chargers. should help you out. I would suggest getting the Higher pressure regulator and pump from an AMG 113 car. this willbe a good safety feature.

There is a lot more to it than that. Yes the N/A ECU is detuned but the fuel maps are totally different because on the SRT6, everything is based on manifold pressure and tps whereas on the base/limited, it is based off MAF, tps, and MAP. You will need a substantially larger pulley and without being too specific, it will be about twice the size of the one that's on there now to get you down to ~7PSI. even if you get the supercharger on the cheap, that cost will be about a tenth of your final costs and that's if you don't destroy your engine or anything else like I did in the process. Shoot me an email if you want to talk about it more in depth.

The problem with these cars is that the static CR is way to high. Heck, 9.5:1 on the SRT6 is up there for a forced induction engine granted that the aluminum block helps out for almost an entire point vs old iron but it's still pretty high.

You may not have noticed, or known, but the supercharger in the photo is just that: a supercharger. You'd still need an intercooler as well and probably SRT manifolds and Y-pipe. None of those things are cheap. Just sayin: it ain't gonna be as easy as it seems (as rcompart says).

you might need the voltage clamp for the maf, and some check valves, as that's what they used on the SK kit.
Oh and one more thing, spend some money on a decent data logging computer if you plan on doing this.. really you can't be guessing at this stuff!

Get a smaller eaton or better yet a procharger. Efficient parts are rarely cheap. The SRT6/c32 superchargers will probably work but I would look at the compressor map to see how efficient it is at the slower speeds you will be driving it at. This car is tunable with FMU and Piggybacks as long as you completely hide the SC or turbo from the ecu, which is easier said than done. It took me quite some time to accomplish that. According to LantanaTX there is a guy at LET that can reprogram the ECU for FI.
