Default wind noise

Test drove a SSB autostick today. The salesman notice as well as I alot of wind noise coming from the passenger side window. I was wondering if this is common and fixable? Otherwise really enjoyed the drive. By the way carmax has 5 in stock here in orlando and 10 in stock in atlanta selling for ~500 below MSRP!

With almost 600 miles on my new car I have found the car to be remarkable free of wind noise. All I hear is the noise generated by where the Michelins meet the asphalt.

Mine has a lot of windnoise also. I've noticed that lightly pressing on the top of the door glass about 12" from the top of the A-pillar will stop it. So I'm hoping that it's just a simple window adjustment. A friend with an Infinity G35 coupe had the same problem with his frameless windows and a simply adjustment took care of everything, so I'm hoping mine can be fixed as easily.

I have same wind noise coming from passenger side window area. If it was 90 or 100mph I wouldn't care about it, but its only 50 or so when it becomes noticeable. BKH let us know any particulars about the adjustment and if that soved the problem.

Thanks.

Mine has the same wind noise. My dealer thinks it's the mirror and could be right. I'm going to try taping the seam where the mirror rotates to see if it helps.

We have the same passenger side noise. The dealer scheduled an appointment with a specialist they use for wind noise and leaks. I will let you know if it works and what they did.

There is a Technical Service Bulletin on the window guides. It came out last week. Your dealer should have access to it.

Default window noise

I've noticed that 90% of the time, when I close the passenger side door that the window stays open. Before I noticed this, I would hear a thud a few muinutes after closing the door and wonder what it was. Then one day I sat outside the car and closed the door and saw that the window was staying cracked open because of interference from the rubber seal above window. Until I feel like getting this looked at, I just make sure the window is lowered when closing the door from the inside, or I press on the top half of the window when closing the door from the outside. When it stays cracked open, it presses the entire upper portion off the door outwards too. I wonder if the service bulletin addresses this problem or if I just have that fluke problem ? Lucky me.

I've had this happen once. The same day I had my windows adjusted.

Once I put the window down then back up once, it hasn't resurfaced (not that I use the pass-side much). Perhaps they over compensated on yours.

(Expecting new pass-window moldings tomorrow / Thursday to fix the wind noise issue).

I finally got mine into the dealer to fix the driver's side wind noise (around the A-Pillar / roof area). They indicated there was no real adjustment for the glass itself. Instead, they removed the window seal and re-installed it putting some kind of a "spacer" underneath so that the rubber seal makes a better contact with the glass. That solved it. I took it up to 95 mph this weekend, and it was a tight seal.

Default wind noise fixed

Took it in and the dealer adjusted the window and installed a shim behind the seal and the problem is gone for us too!

I'm having the same problem and will check with the dealer today. I had to take mine in for body work one day after buying because a raccoon decided he had the right of way. Bad luck

Driven 4 different crossfires.

1st one had wind noise on drivers side

2nd and 3rd had no noise even at 100mph +

4th (mine) has slight wind noise. I believe I'll be taking it in to get "adjusted" It isn't as bad as the first one I drove.

Check the rubber seal / window molding at the front interior of the window. I've replaced mine once already, and going back for another next week (goes back every week, for something, it seems).

They seem prone to buckeling (on mine at least), just a little bulge in the seal, like it just isn't on straight so it wrinkles a little. Nearly identical in both cases. You will know if this is your problem just by putting your finger on it. If you press the molding with the tip of your finger and the noise stops, then there ya go.

Also note: I have had the passenger door and window adjusted three different times now, as well. Each adjustment seems to last about a week and half - two weeks. They just don't seem to want to stay in alignment. (Pass door won't shut completely without MASSIVE force and / or window sits ontop the seal, not inside it.).

But, only the Passenger Side. Adjusted the Drivers once (first time they did the Pass) and its been great ever since. So I'm starting to think something isn't right with the passengar door (if it were both I'd chalk it up to the frameless windows, but its the least used side).

Check to see it your windows goes up just a little too high. Mine was going up about 1/32 inch too high and with the window all the way up was hitting the drip molding preventing the window from contacting the seal.
