The wing doesn't reduce any drag, it increases it. It helps keep the rear wheels on the ground. As for a turbo, no turbos yet, I don't know if we'll ever see a turbo, but there are superchargers available for it right now. Expect to pay lots of money though.

Default info

The rear wing provides about 80 lbs of downforce. I believe it also breaks up a great deal of turbulence caused by the less than aerodynamic shape of the car. Remember, the tear drop, with the cab forward profile, has generally been seen as the most aerodynamic design. The Crossfire is the polar opposite. If you look at the rear end, it's very reminiscent of the Chevy Cheetah Sports Racer of the 60's, designed to try to run with the 427 Cobra. It was generally considered to be an aero brick.

In other words, the car needs the wing, it's not cosmetic.

As for a turbo, Renn Tech can hook you up with a Supercharger. Got some cash burning a hole in your pocket? Willing to write off the factory warranty?

I suppose one could try to find a rear ended SLK Kompressor and move the mechanicals over to the Crossfire.

That's 40 lbs of downforce @ 60 - 70 mph. The downforce is greater @ higher speeds.

Even if it's 40 lbs at 80 mph it's greater at greater speads. I'm an aeronautical engineer and I can figure out the rest. As a manager for Boeing in the Langley area I think I will see what they will charge me to run some tests on my crossfire.
