POWERCHIP GOLD 91 USER
The best bang for your buck is going to a get together that one of the tuners is also attending. They usually offer a nice discount for the event. For example: at the upcoming Carlisle Chrysler Nationals, Tony from TVT Designs is offering ECU tunes for $315, I think. Check the Carlisle thread, post #95 thru #105:

I beleive that Rob from NeedsWings is attending the Woodward Dream Cruise and is offering tunes. But I don't know the price.
In my opinion, $640 for an ECU tune / chip upgrade is ridiculous. But then again, some folks paid a lot more back when there were very few choices available.

Powerchip is not just an ECU tune. Ther combine emmission testing air fuel mix ratios etc when they install the upgrade , takes a couple if days, to maximize your horsepower
It is a surface mount replacement technology, that has been developed with the backing from DC.
You can get 95 /98 and if you ask nicely 100 Octane versions.
Not cheap but you get what you pay for
