I have that covered too, local company is going to be building one for me. I could tne it myself with my dad but im not very familiar with the mercedes motors and what sort of timing they like, so I'd probably let a mercedes tuner fiddle with timing retard

I'll try to get some answers in that field. I would definitely want to learn more about the FIC. The power... I want it!

I had a few questions regarding how to install it. Is there some soldering involved? I obviously don't know much about this part, but I've been filling my self in on how turbo's work and etc. When installing the FIC, do you install it straight to your ecu? or are there necessary sensors that need to be installed to the engine, or I assume it works off the stock sensors? Basically just want to know who I would go for to have it installed and timed. A mechanic? A mb specialist? Thank you in advanced!

It's a piggyback, so its installed between the ecu and motor. Its a very labor intensive install due to finding the right wires (color codes, etc) and knowing how to terminate each connection and whether it gets spliced, tee'd, etc. So yes, there is soldering involved. f you doubt your electrical abilities I'd leave installing something like that to a professional, reputable shop that has experience with mercedes/canbus cars as screwing something up in this area can cost a good bit of change to fix.

Im pretty sure rudy can fill you in on the finer points of installing the fic, as he's done it before and has a pretty nifty little cheat sheet (that i desperately want by the way :P)
