Default Obdii & Eobd Reader Help

Bought a Creader IV today. It pulls up trouble codes but when you try to clear the code it says erase error. Anyone have any experience with this. Maybe I got a bad one. Ron

What are the code numbers? Codes up to P01000 are generic. Most readers can reset them. Above 1000 they are manufacturer specific. You need the Chrysler diagnostic system to reset them. Big bucks or pay the dealer.

I am using it on a 2004 jeep liberty 3.7liter engine.Code was 0137. I think I got it to work as I cleared the codes. I did it with the key on ON but not started. Thanks Ron
