Didn't forget. Maybe the MSH mod was applied to both RCMs. I've had a few people send me their RCM after they attempted the MSH mod.

Hey, I'm tryin' anything here!

Update

tighed to answer your question the original RCM was untouched as was the replacement there were no deep cuts to do the MSH mod so that is not my issue.

The car has spent its second week at the shop and again they got it started but it died shortly after and hasn't turned over since. They are under the impression it is the Key FOB which is a possibility, but they have no way of testing this theory and seem to have given up on the car.

So now it looks like the car will be making another tow truck trip over to the 3rd and hopefully last shop which specializes in Mercedes and European cars I've seen a couple Rolls Royce's, Porches and even a Ferrari 360 Modena parked there, and they seem to be the only people in D/FW area who will even look at the car. Diagnosis fee is 96.00 an hour which is fair.

I feel like an idiot for purchasing a car that has a simple no start issue that no one can diagnose. And i feel like even more of an idiot for believing the CARFAX and thinking that just because the car has low mileage that SOME of the warranty would still be valid.

More info i didn't supply before this car does have an aftermarket Radio and wiring for an amplifier and sub woofer. the wiring is just hanging out in the back hatch area everything is capped and no wires are exposed.

Also the KEY FOB case is kinda of coming open and I only have 1 key which doesn't allow me to manually lock the doors. could any of this be related to my issue? I've heard that the batteries do not need to be in the FOB for the car to start. but also heard the KEY FOB has an RFID transmitter in it I'm sort of confused on this issue.

What inputs does the ECU need to see before it engages the Starter? Could the KEY or ignition switch be my issue?

It is my understanding it's in the box under the hood with the RCM.

Probably NOT an easy fix, as I suspect they are somewhat "custom masked" to the VIN or, at least in some ways, have to be programmed for the specific car they are going into.

HOPEFULLY, Rudy or someone else will chime in ....

That correct, it is the power control module. This is the part the tuner reprogram for more hp etc, It is a factory only part and is programmed with the cars vin # . Very easy to replace 5 min, but lots of $$$$$$$$$ welcome that warranty

I know your problem is fixed. However, I had the same symptoms and it ended up being a loose bolt in the Splice Box....

Just in case anyone reads this in the future.... to ease their troubles.

how was it determined that your PCM was bad? sounds like an issue I'm having right now, and I'd like to test it myself
