Well... after consideration I dont think im gonna put the ECU upgrade into my car after I get it back... for now my car is plenty fast... and I'll upgrade to the BORLA exhaust as long as it doesnt void my warranty....

Also!

My dealer said the part should be in tomorrow and should be installed then too... so hopefully Thursday I shall have my car back! Instead of this horrid Seabring (sp?)...

You have a 7/70 "powertrain" warranty on the car. It's unbelievable they'd have replaced the ENTIRE powertrain (i.e. from the air intake to the rear axles) for the problem you described :!: :?: :!: I mean, new tranny, new engine, new driveshaft, new rear end, etc. etc. etc. Really :?: :?: :?:

and yes I'm happy the lazy basterd is running again! all dirty... and needs a WASH hard core... so tomorrow it will get one

Wow...There are extra powertrains just sitting around? Do you have a copy of the work order? Good thing I was on vacation, otherwise I was planning to join Bob to get chipped. DC will wonder why 2 xfires blew their "powertrains" on the same day (at nearly the same time and location).

BTW, on my 2400 mile trip, I saw 1 Z4, 2 350z, 1 RX8 and ZERO xfire.

landho.... Checkout the whole thread. It was a combination of mods that cause his problem. Not the chip. The only thing that everyone else that's had the chip, including myself, is experiencing is more power and better fuel mileage.

Today is a good kharma day (I know cuz I saw another XF today on I-95S out of DC). Go directly to Upsolute, do not pass Go, spend $400...

Actually Wes it was 100% because of me getting the chip done

IT WASNT THE CHIP

it was the disconnecting of the battery... somehow it zapped the electronics when disconnected....

but no doubt Landho... I hope you get it done... im too scared to now... I'll stick to non-electronical power upgrades such as buying the supercharger from DC if it comes out with a warranty... and the Borla exhaust! even if it does remove the exhaust warranty...

I bet this will require disconnecting the battery. :P

So, they didn't disconnect the battery when they did your AVIC :?: :!: :?:
