Transmission Leak - Input Requested From Members on Post Fix Experiences
I posted a question in an old thread but review of that one must have gone dead --- So, I thought it best to try to get input from a front end question.
My question to the forum members is -- for those who have had to have the tranny connector leak fixed ----- Does the new connector and upgraded O ring fix the issue for good? OR, even after the it's fixed does the issue return at some point and if so after how many miles?
I just had mine fixed (and it ultimately entailed having to replace the connector and the entire valve body --- so I'm hoping those members that have had to go through this even at the basic fix level haven't had the issue re-occur.
Thanks for any input you can share.

When I pulled my SRT out of storage in March 2008 it had the puddle of tranny fluid under it. My Chrysler dealer fixed it up according to the tech service bulletin I printed out for them, and I haven't had any problem with it since.
Purchased my roadster brand new June of 2004 and had the tranny leak about 2 or 3 months later. Mine has not leaked since the fix.

I have 2007 with auto. It had a leak but it was fixed and has not returned. Of course I only put 2000 miles or so since the fix. Did not drive it at all in 2010.
my 32 was built in 2002. it showed a slight seepage so i changed the plug. (51000 miles) with the diffuculty getting those dang orings to seat and line up the connector i wouldnt think it will leak again. breaking something else is a definate reality if your not careful
Thanks to all for their responses. Thus far, it seems that once the leak is fixed, it doesn't occur again. Given the range of usage of those posted, I'd still be interested in others sharing their experiences as well.
Might be good to say when it was fixed and how many miles / years since then. Most have provided similar info, but it would certainly help to provide these details.
I'm hoping the new rings and design makes the return of this issue pretty rare.

SRT 6 has been sitting for a couple of months, so I decided to put it up on stands today and guess what I found ?.................yup, big puddle
OK, so my turn to change the pilot bushing today. New one went in easy peasy.....the old one coming out not so much. Turning the white collar on the old one was a challenge, very stiff. The white collar on the new pilot bushing was relatively easy to turn to the closed position however it has has a little play (rotational) in the closed position. Anyone else experience this?
Steve,
I guess each pilot bushing fits a little different. I had no issue with the locking collar. Anyone else experience this problem?

The Little Red Roadster has been leaving a little puddle of pee on the garage floor for, I guess, about three weeks now.
