I have been using the Bosch Icon blades since last year and am VERY happy with them... air foils on them and they are a nice clean mount and fit...

I also like the use of Rain-X on windshields. I started using a washer fluid that has Rain-X in it about two months ago...it seems to work well and gets a re-fresh when you use your washer..... we get lots of opportunity to test wipers here in Oregon!

Does anyone have a pic of what the OEM blades look like? Mine were replaced before I got the car and I've always thought they dont look right. I do have the Bosch blades on my second car, and they have never even hinted at lifting.

Rain-X Latitude Contoured design applies even pressure along the entire blade length. the blade makes contact all the way across the wipe area up to about 60°.

The spoiler feature is on the drivers side only, and that is the shortest wiper blade.
I replaced the blades, Canadian Tire sells replacement blades up here and you have to cut them to length to suit your purpose. Get the 3/8" blade, as they come in various widths. They are about $8 a pair.
How good they are I do not know, but at the price they are you can replace them every year.
I see no reason to throw away perfect and well made arms just to replace the blades.

I just replaced mine and had no problem finding plenty of choices that fit our car perfectly. I chose Bosch Contour and they are awesome. They don't have the erector set look and look very clean.

Thanks! In the spring I will look into getting some, the ones that are on my car are really tall when looking through the windshield. Those definitely look better!

Besides some honey doos and going to the Barett Jackson auction not much to do today BUT as I was taking out the trash tonight I thought you might like to hear what I read about wipers from Consumer Report.

"Our top-Rated wiper the Valeo 600 series cost $11.00. That's much less then the PIAA Super Silicone and the Bosch Icon - that were not as good in our tests." There you have the gospel according to CR.

Oh I would be remiss if I did not add since I do not drve my Xfires in any inclement weather any wiper blade that looks good is OK with me and I do not have to worry about performance.

I'm jealous, LOL

Living in Tennessee, we experience ice, snow, sleet, thunderstorms, hail, blazing temperatures, and everything in between. Sometimes, all in one week.

Ok I must confess in Flagstaff AZ during the SUMMER we can have all four seasons in the same day and from one side of town to the other. If winters were about 2 months shorter I'd be in heaven but I guess purgatory is not a bad second.

I LOVE the way the Icon's look and perform, not to mention almost every high end car has them OEM

Glad SQ was able to help you out, it would have been nice if someone suggested the ICON earlier in this thread

Now now, John... Perhaps I did a crummy job of citing.

SQ had a post that I didn't link (my bad) that had a full-blown dissection of different brands, and he had tried RX with the same results I had. He finally went with Bosch ICON but specified the difference in the A/B orientation...

If you RTFT you'd see where I wanted to get the ICONs from day-one, but tried the RX due to the huge savings.

Having said that, you've indeed been bragging on the ICON the whole thread. Therefore, you get full credit for referring me to them, and every time I wipe I'll think of you. Wait...

Cheers pal,

LMAO, someone has to bust your ***** around here, it may as well be me, buddy

And the ICONs are totally the way to go, and in the last 2 years, I have slowly converted every single person in my office to a believer and a customer but you do have to find them on sale because $50 for wipers is kind of absurd IMO

LOL

$57.05 actually, with TN sales tax (2 x $25.99, + 9.75% tax)

For that price, I can hire a midget to ride on top of the car with a 3-foot squeegee.

I am in need of wipers and was looking at the Bosch MARATHONS. They look pretty low profile, which is what I want. Can't remember what I put on my car previously but spraying my windscreen with fluid is almost useless as it just squirts the wiper arm that sits in front of it. I am hoping to get blades that will allow my squirters to hit properly. Just thought I would post. Cheers

Now I can't seem to find them on the web, but they look alot like the ICON's so maybe Walmart has a cheaper version for sale. I will go back to verify that I am not crazy, lol.

Update: I went back and grabbed a pair 13.97/ea. They are Bosch Marathon wipers but are not listed anywhere. Look just like the ICONs so We will see. Yeah, not crazy..............yet. Cheers
