ever wonder if you can put a true dual exhaust under the x-fire? Headers too. That would open up this baby yeah!

 

Should not be a big issue to go dual all the way out. It has 2 headers going 3 into 1 then 2 cats. Then for some reason ( cost ? ) they go from 2 cats to 1 pipe for the last 3 feet into a muffler with 2 outputs. I just wounder if the volume of the single pipe is equel to the 2 pipies leading into it.

 

Probably cost and weight were factors. What gets me is there is only one flange by the section it goes into one. Not two on both sides. It makes sense when you look at it. You will be required to cut the drivers side down pipe to make any after market dual exhaust kit work.
