HVAC compartment and cabin filter
The manual states I should access the HVAC compartment to change the cabin filter for the car. What does HVAC stand for and how exactly do I access it please?
Anyone got a part number for the cabin filter?
Cheers

The access is under the dash, behind the glove box. You have to remove a couple of screws and lower the panel and then you can see the access to the cabin filter and the air conditioning motor. Slide the two whitish latches on each and the covers come off giving you access. Pull the cabin filter out and replace. You can get the part number off the filter or do a search for Crossfire or 2004 SLK320/32 cabin filter.....
Okay I'll take a stab at it. HVAC = Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning. As others have said accessing the filter is pretty straight forward although you do have to be somewhat of a contortionist to get under there to see what's going on.
