Rear suspension aligment

The rear camber is not adjustable as it comes from the factory. You can purchase aftermarket solutions. There are Kmac adjustable bushings that go in the lower control arms. Alternatively there are adjustable camber strut arms. I went with the Kmac bushings. They work very well, however, getting the old bushings out can be extremely difficult. Both solutions are listed on ebay, but you may have search for them under SLK320.

See workshop manual section 2 - 11 for rear alignment check and correction including camber and toe - in. Of course it is set at factory, but if the cars tyres are not wearing properly something is not right and needs checking. It can be adjusted but its worth also checking for any bent components. The suspension parts are very cheap and it may be worth eliminating the problem by doing it that way but of course it will still need setting up
Did they check the toe which is adjustable? Toe changes does have a small effect on the camber. if your car isn't lowered you shouldn't have a camber problem. Many have lowered their cars without adding camber kits. My car was wearing the inside edges but it was caused buy being toed out. Are your rear tires also cupping on the inside edges which will cause noise from the rear tires? Some tires are just prone to do this.
Those look like the ones that Les was using and had problems with hitting the body on the track... they are bigger diameter than the TVT or SpeedyBenz arms....

Thanks for the responses. When they aligned the rear toe was the same toe (square) and the camber was -2 deg. Yes, the tires are wearing inside and cuping, and noise. No Mercedes dealership in our little town. Will take it to the Mercedes dealer in Jackson MS. Will the toe affect the camber?
