Default Side Mirror Mod

What is the best side view mirror mod you have tried to eliminate blind spots?

I didn't see that coming.....just about all vehicles have a blind spot. I find the crosses rear view more of problem than the side view. But, a small convex stick on mirror seems to help with the sides. A cheap back-up camera does just fine for the rear.

In the old days used to use a panoramic mirror from JC Whitney. Don't know if still made. Gary

If you go with the stick on convex mirror, just make sure you like where you're sticking it before you actually stick it on. I saw where someone ruined the reflective surface when they removed the stick on.

I've got a Honda Ridgeline with some serious blind spots. I've added the stick on mirrors to the upper outside area of both mirros and they are very helpful.

Blind spot mirrors on all my cars especially the XF, I find they work/look best in close to the door as possible. Also search for PAM or Properly Aimed Mirrors...good info

Also this is NOT a photo shop pic, its from a St Louis GTG, thasts Madmed and Ezera in the mirror

I find adjusting them properly is all that is needed. It takes some getting used to, but it works.

Most people have their side mirrors adjusted so they can see the side of their car, and they cover pretty much the same area as the rear view mirror. Wrong!

To adjust the left (driver side) mirror - Place your head on the window - adjust the mirror out until you can just barely see the side of car.

On the right (passenger) side - sit as you normally would, but lean your head far to the right - adjust the mirror so you can barely see the side of the car.

When done correctly, you can watch a car approach in your rear view mirror - just as it is passing out of site in that mirror, it will become visible in your side mirror - as it passes out of that mirror, it will be next to you and visible in your peripheral vision.

I agree with John. If properly adjusted there are no blind spots. It does take some getting use to, but it works.

Minimize blind spots with this method as mentioned by Joliet John.
But this is the deluxe edition with a picture
As he said it takes a bit of getting used to as you lack, or should lack, confidence at first until you get to know the system well enough.
