Replacement inside door handles
Replacement inside door handles
When I get my car (next week hopefully) I'm going to park it next to my neighbours TT and we're going to admire them both.
Then we'll go for a quick drive, amd the first thing he's going to touch is the inside door handle, that tacky, cheap painted plastic door handle, and he's going to think "heh, my TT's interior is way better than this" and I won't be able to argue with him ops:
So, does anyone have any ideas about what can be done about the handles?
Does anyone make replacements?
Would I have to get a fab shop to make up a nice brushed stainless steel handles?
Should I not let my neighbour in the car?

 First of all, I don't feel they are cheap door handles. But even if I did, do you really think that is all he will concentrate on ... unless, of course, you point them out to him and make a big deal out of them
I'm sure not everything about the TT is perfect. What do you think he is worried about you seeing in his??
Just let him admire the beautiful car you have

those door handles are far from cheap! and the best thing about them is they are stylish!!!

The TT, for all it's faults, is beautifully finished inside with it's real metal finishings.
Look at PDA's and digtal cameras, cheap ones are made of plastic sprayed to look like metal, mid to high level are metal. Pick one up and caress it, stroke it, dare I say "fondle" it and you'll find the metal one feels "right" and the plastic one feels disappointing.
The Crossfire is a bold, beautiful design statement, but there are areas where corners have been cut and I think the door handles and gear **** are the most obvious examples.
