Default Replacement inside door handles

When I get my car (next week hopefully) I'm going to park it next to my neighbours TT and we're going to admire them both.

Then we'll go for a quick drive, amd the first thing he's going to touch is the inside door handle, that tacky, cheap painted plastic door handle, and he's going to think "heh, my TT's interior is way better than this" and I won't be able to argue with him ops:

So, does anyone have any ideas about what can be done about the handles?

Does anyone make replacements?

Would I have to get a fab shop to make up a nice brushed stainless steel handles?

Should I not let my neighbour in the car?

Parked side by side, step back and admire them from afar. No amount of seemingly cheap door handles can take away from the fact that your Crossfire is just drop dead gorgeous, and his TT is, well, it's a TT.

 First of all, I don't feel they are cheap door handles. But even if I did, do you really think that is all he will concentrate on ... unless, of course, you point them out to him and make a big deal out of them

I'm sure not everything about the TT is perfect. What do you think he is worried about you seeing in his??

Just let him admire the beautiful car you have

LOL those door handles are far from cheap! and the best thing about them is they are stylish!!! look at the 350z... their handles make that car look bad... and the TT IMO isn't anything to brag about...

These are the handles on the inside I'm talking about... you know the bit of plastic tubing spray painted silver you use to pull the door closed when you're sitting inside.

I'm sure not everything about the TT is perfect. What do you think he is worried about you seeing in his??
I'm pretty sure he won't want to follow me round any corners too fast... even with his four wheel drive!

The TT, for all it's faults, is beautifully finished inside with it's real metal finishings.

Look at PDA's and digtal cameras, cheap ones are made of plastic sprayed to look like metal, mid to high level are metal. Pick one up and caress it, stroke it, dare I say "fondle" it and you'll find the metal one feels "right" and the plastic one feels disappointing.

The Crossfire is a bold, beautiful design statement, but there are areas where corners have been cut and I think the door handles and gear **** are the most obvious examples.

I change my shiftknob the other day with a Carbon fiber one and was surprised how heavey the stock one was compared with the CF one.The door skin sound like aluminum to me.
