12V Switching or not
Hi Guys.
Can you verify if the 2004 model has this issue re installing an after market head unit? From what I understand from dealers etc is that installing your Pioneer unit to a 2004+ car is a problem ie: the infinity amps are "data" triggered and not "12V"... can you shed some light on this....
This question is now really Pi**ing me off as I am looking at placing an order for a new Xfire and this is one question every one just seem to have no real answer on.
I'm based in the UK and have been driving a BMW for several years, but fancy a change so here I come Xfire I hope!
Can some one help??????

I have an aftermarket Pioneer deck and have ZERO issues. It is not data, it is standard 12v. 2 line signals, crossovers built into amp. Power is then applied to highs, mids, and subs.
