Default Braking Porblem

Question & an FYI ... Last week I had to slam the brakes due to a car in front of me. When I did, 5 or 6 of the warning lights on the instument panel lit AND the spoiler raised.

I pulled to the side of the road & shut off the car. Waited about 30 seconds & fired it up. The warning lights DID NOT stay on. But, I had to lower the spoiler with the switch. Two days later the same thing happened. But this time I was pulling into a parking space going maybe 5 MPH.

The car has been at the dealership for 2 days. They were able to replicate the problem THREE TIMES. But, are still trying to figure out the cause. Has anyone had this problem? (I hope the Xfire techs read this). Any advise appreciated.

Could be a problem with the BAS. The SLK BAS often got "confused" once it was used. The first reaction was normal for an emergency brake. Why it went of in the parking lot I don't know. Did this happen when you moved you foot quickly form the gas to the brake? It also happens if using the cruise control.

I came to a sliding stop the other day and nothing came on. I was going about 25-30mph when someone pulled out in front of me. Neither the ABS or the BAS kicked in.

I tested the ABS system to make sure it is working a couple days ago and nothing lit up or went crazy.
