Benz if it fits ill cancel my pre order! but I know Borla fits and it works well!

 

I really liked the specs listed (6.1-6.4% avg hp gain = approx 13 extra horsies), much louder sound (don't know whether that's good or bad of course), 35-70% weight reduction! All very nice, but the price - $925.18. That's a pricey muffler.

Humm... 13 hp... that hits the Xfire up to around the HP range I wanted it at... 250hp... thats with ECU + filters... I really want to know the output HP of the Borla... if its around 8 - 10hp... ill stick to Borla because I will be able to get it for much better price then 900 $'s ...

I'm not a huge fan of extremely loud cars either...

 

As far as exhaust systems go... what do they do in terms of warranty? Is it the same deal where it has to be the reason for the problem in order for it to void the warranty?

 

All the Rx8 users that have installed the Borla system seems to love their exhaust! They say the increase in sound works great... its not loud all the time but when you take off it really sounds off now! They are guessing the HP increase around 6 - 9hp much like we are guessing for the Xfire... They also get the sweet flame pop ... I dont think our engine can do that... but the stock rotary in the 8 allows it to shoot out flames at high revs !! ... Gotta love the frog! its a sweet little car

but I just thought id post letting everyone know how much they enjoy their addon!!

ahhh and it costs them around 500 - 650 for the exhaust it seems like...
