Default Illuminated door sills problem

OK, most of you know I've been having problem with my sills. They worked OK for about 3 weeks and since then they only stay on for 3 seconds. I have finally got to the bottom of this and am working with my dealer to sort it out. Jeff@ Huffines in the US has given me the following information from his Crossfire Tech:

"I talked with my crossfire tech and he had another car doing the same thing. He said that the relay was the problem if your relay is grey it will cause the problem the relay needs to be a yellow. Your dealer has to keep ordering them till they get one that has the yellow relay."

Jeff also gave me a part code for the door handle my dealer doesn't seem to be able to get hold of so fingers crossed the remaining two problems will be fixed in the near future.

Just spoke to my dealer, new door handle is in and waiting to be fitted. Replacement sill plates are on order as you can't just order a new controller box on its own. So when these come in I'll book the car in to get them done at the same time. :-)

Finally my dealer has my new door handle and the new sills delivered this Friday. Car is booked in to be done next Friday. Only took Chrysler 2 and a half months to get me a new door handle!

Well she is in the garage today getting these two final things sorted. I have a Chrysler Neon as a loan car, yuck. Still it is a simple job and should get it back later today. I'll let you know when it is all working again. I'll also check the control box to ensure it is yellow and that they have not replaced it with another grey one.

Just picked my car up, sills are working correctly and a nice new door handle is on. Fantastic!

I've not checked to see which colour controller box the sills have, but they work. I'll check over the weekend.
