Remove the intake tubes, then give a good pull at each corner. It is just held in place by 4 pressure clips.

It just pops off. I think there are 4 clips that hold it on. Just pull up on it and you'll feel it pop loose - work your way around until it is comes off. Pretty simple.

Give it a sharp upward tug at the rear, that is the place to start on the NA. Which I assume it is.

Be careful at the passenger side front - it is easy to crack the cover if you tug too hard there ......

Thanks for the replies. It was easy I'm just so afraid of breaking something. The filters were clean so no worries there.

So i've been reading alot of threads about how to remove the engine cover. I'm wanting to remove mine so I can paint it, but people keep giving two different steps. 1.) remove the intakes then pull on the cover to pop the 4 clips. 2.) pull on the cover to pop the four clips. Before I attempt this I just want to know... do you really have to remove the intakes?

Intake removal is NOT required. Just gently pry up on it and it will pop loose.
