Default Question about lifting my car.

Planning on changing diff oil, trans oil and flex discs in the near future. Looks like I can probably do rear diff on the garage floor, but my friend has a 2 post lift. There appear to be 4 jack points just inside the rockers. Am I correct in assuming lift pads can be set there? I remember reading about Solstices and Skys getting messed up, because they needed special blocks inserted before being put on a lift. Just want to make sure there aren't any gotchas before getting started...

I use small pieces of 2x6 lumber between the those jack points and the lift points, but yes those are the lift points...

I have raised several Crossfires by the 4 jacking pads - never a problem.

Thanks! That's what I assumed, but you know what happens when you do...
