Default BobaFettm's Lighting Project (due Aug 13th)

Well I ordered all the parts! and this is what the setup will be like by next friday!

All interior lighting minus the 4 new spot light LED's will be streetglows...

The spotlights can be found at this addy...
http://www.tireflys.com/products/electropods.asp

The underbody kit can be found at ...
http://www.colormorphics.com/

"This patented technology features 16.7 million colors....
Program color chases, animation, color fades and infinite lighting combinations.....
Interacts with your carfs sound system to pulse with the music."

I've seen these one in action and its hot! Look REALLY sweet!

The LED bars in the grill will really shine through nice! and it will be installed so it does not restrict any airflow at all... cuz to me I didnt even wanta block a cm of air space

I'm excited because I thought the underbody kit was not able to put on... but these are much different then the streetglows and they come in smaller sections... so they can fit under there in nice little cozy spots... and wow! Talk about bright!!!

The color variations are amazing also! EVERY color you can think of

I just wanted to post and let everyone know that there are underbody kits that will go on the Xfire ... and that once I get it done... ill have video / pictures...

I'm pretty sure once its done... the car would be ready for light show competitions... I mean... I'll have enough light in this car to attract moths from hundreds of miles!!!

Let the flaming begiiiiiinnnnnnn....

I know a lot of the older folks would not approve of this sort of thing but being a youthful 25 this does look exciting. Hurry up so I can see some pictures. Whats the price for all this?

my prices are a lot different then the prices a normal customer would pay... im getting it all at wholesale cost... ill give ya all the prices after the install is done and what not! cuz wiring does cost quite a bit...

but a rough guess... i get the underbody kit for under $350... i cant say exactly how much.. err well im not supposed to so ill honor that and just say under 350... which is amazing... the additional tubes for the underbody are around 35 - 40... also cheap... then the 10in's and the neons are all very cheap.. around 10 - 20 ...

price that stuff out normally and its WAY expensive!!! I think the car will be very sexy after its all done!

It's a bit much for my tastes, but I am following your lighting threads cuz I would like to add a bit of discreet interior lighting. As long as not directly viewable through the windows since state law prohibits any visible bulbs that exceed 15 watts.

The cops in this area really jump on people with lotsa lights. I have buddies that've been ticketing in parking lots with their underbody lights on, not moving. Here in VA, adding lighting like this violates the state code on how many "lights" with which you can equip a street-legal car. Even if you don't turn on the lights on the road, just having them on the car can get you a ticket.

Ouch.

I don't think underbody lights will be too 'ricer' - but I guess we'll have to wait and see the final product to be sure.

Now, if he were to re-paint his car primer colored, add a HUGE wing to the rear, stick on a muffler whose entire purpose is to make lots of noise, and don't forget hydraulics. Now THAT would be ricey!

Hey Bobbafett, keep up the good work. I like reading your posts and getting ideas. As I've always said, until somebody makes the payment for me, the car is mine and I'll do with it as I please. So, in the words of Burger King, "Have it your way!" I want to see finished photos.

Thanks again Theresa !

Dan let me know!!! I can feel a big difference with my new brake lines!!

and no doubt Jack! I will do with my car as I wish! and I enjoy the people racking on me... probably just jealous that a senior in college has enough money to buy the crossfire plus throw on new mods once a month...

and to the ricer culture... there is a difference between JDM... and ricer...

ricer = cavalier and sunfires with fins and WICKED!!! sprayed on the side...

JDM = nicely setup Japanese cars with performance or stylish add-ons...

No offense, but I am just curious why you don't install this stuff yourself? Running wires is not that hard. Plus it would be a good learning experience.
