Hello All,

My '05 Roadster's top latch is not working.

Went to put top up and the beeping told me something was not secure. So I unlocked the D-ring and went to un-latch by turning a quarter turn but it popped loose.
And the D-ring does not latch or un-latch now...
Seems the d-ring just spins around and does not grab the release mechanism anymore.
Passenger side of top is not latched down but drivers is latched.

Plus the beeping is annoying.
Will the fix for silencing the seat belt chime/beep work for the top also?

BUT MOST IMPORTANT: How do you get the top unlatched if the d-ring is not working?!?!?!


If I can get some advice on how to free the drivers side perhaps I can then get to and make repairs to the d-ring and latching mechanisms....

I got my hand between fabric and header panel and was able to get handle (d-ring) to grab the passenger side release rod.
Now no beep and roof is secure.

No idea how to get top down.
I tried in vain to get handle to grab and release the drivers side release rod...no go.
May need to cut canvas to access latch and fix it, then replace top.
UGH!

If I had super tiny tiny arms I could have my convertible lid open and fixed...sigh and some blind luck...
