Just Put on Magnaflow Exhaust
Well here's my opinion on the magnaflow. It sounds really good much deeper tone then stock but has a small rice burner sound to it. It also has a little bit of back pressure which im sure a resonator would take care of. All in all I like it and it's a real head turner more then before when Im going down the street.
Honestly how much more of a difference can a borla exhaust make. If your looking for sound do u think u can really get that v8 sound from a v6. In my opinion I think there is really no big difference. But hey lets see if Borla can prove me wrong. Now we are just talking about the muffler though, right??

Dan,
please ask them if they can provide a before and after on the toruqe curve.

Ferrari's sounds more like the stock muffler..with a little whining sound. Porsche is more quieter than the Magnaflow...with just a little fraction. But because of the loops in our muffler, the airflow is pretty much restricted therefore, replacing it with a muffler with direct flow technology....it makes a whole different sound and speed.

I'd like to get an entire true dual exhaust starting with some true headers, going into 2.5" tubes to twin muflers out the center where the stock mufler is now. That would greatly improve the performance. I don't understand why they did the exhaust the way they did. This would let the car breath a heck of a lot better and free up some HP.

One thing to note is that you should try to work in the direction of the engine. A free flowing exhaust is useless if the engine isn't taking in any more air to compensate. I haven't seen any kind of flow testing for the Crossfire intake, but I'd imagine you could free it up some (whether it be with simple K&N's or some other, more elaborate, intake system). From there you can go to work on the exhaust.

Hey JMack, converting to full dual exhaust is not a big deal.
I had an exhaust shop do the conversion, with all new pipe from the Cat-Back for $250. Cdn.
Since I wanted to preserve original piping/muffler/tips for posterity, I had them weld new round stainless tips that really look aggressive and made a statement.
Without the muffler, the sound had too much of an edge so I went back and had them take a 12" piece out of each pipe and weld in some free flowing converters just behind the tips. This took the edge off the sound and was little more mellow. The beauty of this is that the exhaust system is freed up and the rear-end look is clean, no boxy muffler to see, only to round pipes well spaced between the bumper opening. Remember those Cosworth Ford engines back in the late 60s and early 70s with the twin pipes coming off the back.
I'm trying to upload pics but have no luck other than my signature pic so far. As far as the .wav sound, I will need some suggestive advice for that. I love cars and computers but not an expert in either.

Thanks Mjanowich but I don't have laptop and microphone not long enough to go from my computer to garage. Will try to get the pics up first. I understand the site is having problems with the gallery and is being over-hauled now.
yea i believe the exhaust system doesn't make that big of a difference in sound only depends on what type of engine you have and how free flowing the muffler is. But i am not an expert.
