A/C blowing hard then soft
I haven't found the solution to this yet on here so here it goes. Whenever I turn on the AC sometimes it starts blowing really hard (regardless of on the lowest setting or the highest) and then it will start blowing really soft (also regardless fo the setting) it goes back and forth like this constantly then will randomly shut off and do it again when it decides to do it. Any suggestions?
I had a simular problem 2 seasons back! Mine would also go to full heat then back to a/c it went away last season just like it never happened, I resurched this and thought it was possibly the fan motor capacitor?
sorry I'm not much help but thats where it lead to, try serching Fan motor Capacitor?

There is no fan capacitor. There is a fan motor resistor that regulates the speed, it would be my guess that it is bad. Its a small resistor assembly that mounts on the blower housing in most cars. Give it a shot, loose connections in it will change speed unexpectidly. Woody

Ya what he said!

Hi, I have the same problem... Is there any way to test the resistor or the HVAC controls (the ones in the center console above the radio) to see what part is bad? Both are pretty expensive and that would be an expensive guess

Had a girlfriend like that once...can't remember how I corrected that.... Looks like you have everything well in hand...with the suggestions from above...that is....
