Default door lock mechanism

The passenger side door will only unlock, so I took the door panel off and removed the lock assembly, found that the the plunger has a leak. has anyone had problems with this, and if so do you know where I can get one besides having to go to the dealership

Can you fix the leak? How hard can that be?
They will cost too much to waste one that is only half bad.
