I'd knock it all out in a weekend. A mechanic will probably charge around 10 hours.

Thanks grip grip. I found a mechanic that works for benz that does work on the side in his personal garage. I just want an estimate to tell him what others have done it in. The NOS is next

If he's real familiar with our cars and parts I'd estimate a day and certainly in a weekend. The front fascia needs to come off for the heat exchanger which makes the I/C pump easy too. The draining of the cooling system is messy. The pulley saver kit caused me a headache because I was clumsy that day. Fuel pump is easy as pie but I managed to soak my arm in gas. The intake manifolds are a snap if you've done them before. Please use stock gaskets with copper spray. I finally listened to others and ended my nightmare of leaky gaskets.

Thanks for help. I know he works on slk32 a lot so I am thinking he is familiar with our motors. Copper spray is what I am hearing I am going to go buy some.

Did you get longer bolts of accommodate the Phenolic Spacers? If they are stainless, I recommend you spray them with WD40 or anti-sieze prior to install to keep them from getting stuck. I'm not the first one to have one of the stainless bolts break off in the aluminum heads.

The spacer was used by another member who was selling them. I don't know if the bolts are included. I will have to contact them. If not where can I get those bolts.
