Great to know - thanks! So, then, an aerogel gasket might be fun to try out. I will give these ideas a whirl after I get the CAI installed later this month.

regarding Aerogel and underhood temps on an intercooled supercharged vehicle, here are some infrared images/data logs for an aerogel heat shield for the supercharged Mini Cooper S. Most revealing! Mr. Waldig or Rob at Needswings - any comments?
