SRT6 supercharger is cutting out
I read that it 's a frequent issue and the problem is the Inter Cooler Fluid Pump (Bosch). I am looking to change it but the Chrysler dealer is asking $1100. for a new one. Isn't there a Johnson Pump available on the market for a cheaper price and where should I get it? Appreciate your reply.

I'll find out where the seller is. I just got one, less than $100.
Here it is, they charged $30 for shipping to Canada. A good deal.

Stop talking to Chrysler dealers about your Mercedes/Karmann car!

Is the Johnson Pump better than the Bosch?
I have the 010 installed - it works perfectly and is plug and play. The Johnson pump requires rewiring/mod effort. Other's might know if it's really better than the 010 Bosch pump.
Not really, better flow rate though and some modifications required to install it. I had a Johnson pump and I went and got the new Bosch pump. The older Bosch pump failed a lot and the new one is better. The Johnson probably costs more as well, your choice.
Make sure you get the new Bosch pump #392 022 010.
The one pizzaman is talking about is the same pump but $30 more, good supplier though. Make sure you get it sent USPS NOT UPS, they rip you off with extra charges as well as GST.

We get ripped on shipping all the time, some vendors have to make an amount to cover their labour as well as shipping cost/packaging. UPS and Fed Ex charge brokerage, GST and all sorts of extras that they can add on. The Canadian dollar has taken a dive, it all adds up. USPS is the best option for us as there is a base import cost and GST sometimes, other times no extra cost.
In the case of the pump, there is a $30 difference and that covers shipping costs, making it a no brainer to me.
We are poor Canadians struggling to make ends meet, not rich fat cat Yanks rolling in money and the good life. We have to go out and shoot or trap to put food on the ice block we call a table in our igloo. Gotta go, Bob and Doug have just dropped in.

My front end caster-camber bolts. And now that I have over 100,000 miles, I'm thinking I'll order the plugs and wires from him, too.
I keep thinking about a CAI, but if I REALLY want performance, an SRT makes more sense (and since my car is getting up there in miles, a second car would not be a bad idea anyway.)

I purchased my car in March of 2012 and one of my first mods was a Johnson pump, it went bad after 4K. Then I discovered original owner had already replaced the pump with the 010 Bosch. Fortunately, I had kept it. Although the Johnson is rated a little higher in flow, as I recall, in practice, it wasn't as good as advertised. So, my recommendation is the Bosch 010 from Rob, fair price and great service.
Thanks to all of you guys. The pump is ordered (Bosch 010). I will try it only in mid-April; it's freezing cold right now with 3 feet of snow. Wish I'd be in the beautiful Florida Keys. Route US 1 starts in Key West, FL and ends in my backyard Fort Kent, Me which is across the river from where I live (Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada). This forum is a money-saver. Your feedback were very appreciated . Long live Crossfire SRT6 members.
