air·foil
ˈe(ə)rˌfoil/
noun
noun: airfoil; plural noun: airfoils
  1. 1.
a structure with curved surfaces designed to give the most favorable ratio of lift to drag in flight, used as the basic form of the wings, fins, and horizontal stabilizer of most aircraft
You don't have an airfoil problem, you have a spoiler problem - which does the OPPOSITE of an airfoil.

The above PROVES I am a bigger PITA than 100/80.

When you say it won't do down, does that mean it won't go down when you press the button, or EVER?

With the right angle of attack an airfoil can make a very good spoiler and air brake. Down force is the opposite of lift.
