Driving back from Houston, radio locked up, you could hear a very slight sound, would not turn off, change channel nothing. Screen was on showing station ,gps etc. New battery 121.00 dollars walmart all ok know

 

Okay now.. don't tell me a light came on in your head that said "Oh.. I need a new battery" just because the stereo took a left turn..?

logic-be-damned, if he could get that OEM POS going for $121, good for him!

 

Just taking the battery loose and counting to 30 might have fixed it.. LOL..

That's why I'm thinking surely there was something else involved.. Like OEM varta.. wing popped up ()...??

 

The car would not turn over next morning ,had battery go down before and charged it, install a new battery in 2008 had about 40,000 miles on it' and 5 years. New battery and radio ok now, i thought the amp are something had failed

 

These cars are not tolerant of voltage fuctuation. They do start going strange things.
