Wing keeps coming up in manual mode without pressing the manual mode button
Anyone having problems with their wng? Usually early in the morning and sometimes later at night the wing will come up and start flashing like it's in the manual mode and I never pressed the manual button!! When I stop the manual button doesn't retract the wing. I have to turn off the car and let it sit for a few minutes and then turn the car back on and the manual button will retract it. I've already taken it to the dealership, but, of course, it doesn't fail when they have it!! I'm thinking it might have to do with the outside temperature because it only seems to do it when it's really cold outside - not sure though.
Thanks, the dealership won't replace anything until it fails for them so I now have to leave it overnight with them so it will hopefully fail first thing in the morning for them. The problem started right after I bought it.

Sorry... hope you get it fixed.
I finally got it fixed!!! They had to replace the motor for the wing - or something like that. What really perturbed me was that while they had my car they managed to put 52 miles on it!!! I know they had to road test my car, but that seemed a little excessive to me. The service manager left me a message so I haven't gotten his explanation of it yet.

Yeah I agree.
_52_ miles??
THAT IS RIDICULOUS.
I WOULD BE MAD AS HELL. IN FACT IM GETTING MAD RIGHT NOW BECAUSE I HATE WHEN PEOPLE TRY AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF SOMEONE ELSE.
That's what their doing. I know they need to drive it so they can see the problem, then they need to drive and make sure its fixed, but still, 52 miles is EXTREME. That's like 50 minutes of driving at 65 mph..
What the hell did they do.. drive it to pick up the part?
Let me guess.. they told you its 20 miles each way to the closest highway where you can do 65 mph.. Yeah right..
Someone was out cruising in your car bro. I even bet they made a few stops, got a bite to eat, got a drink, stopped at their friends house and showed them the car their cruising in for the afternoon, etc.
There's virtually no LEGIT reason for so many miles on your car. 52 miles is not a lot really. But it is when its in the SHOP for SERVICE.
Who knows how hard the driver beat on it when you weren't around? Do you think they drove it super gently, or do you think they said "Lets see what this thing can do" and floored it out of the shop for a 52 mile cruise?
Just wait a couple thousand miles when your clutch starts to go, and you have no idea why.
This is just BS and I definately think you should let the service manager know it's unacceptable.
Then call DC and see what their opinion is.
BTW I was a service manager, and while mechanics would have to road test a car on occassion, it was simply a 5 mile round trip. Did they do 10 of those? I doubt it man. Somethings up and I'm sincerely concerned.

I had problems with my spoiler not going down and the light on the dash coming on. It turned out to be the switch which the dealer promptly replaced. (They didn't need 52 miles to do that either).
According to the service manager - the dealership I go to has only two specially trained technicians that work on Crossfires (I'm guessing that would be Mutt and Jeff) and that they had to road test the car more than usual (the usual road test only be 4 miles according to him) with the testing equipment on it to be sure the problem was diagnosed correctly and that it was fixed. He told me that if they were just out joy riding in my car then they wouldn't have gotten their full pay for the day because they weren't in the shop billing their time. Don't know how he figures that if they were "road testing" that that wouldn't be billed to warranty work. WHATEVER!!! Man, I forgot to ask to be reimbursed for the mileage!! It just sucks being a girl when it comes to dealing with cars.
my guess is that they gave the xfire to the tech to take home and park up overnite and then test on his way back in, they are not meant to do this an hence some **** and bull story about the 52 miles. Doubt its anything dodgy just wanted to get the car nice and cold on a driveway overnite and be able to test it at 6am!

Hello, I'm having the same exact problem. It started a couple days ago. The wing will go up on its own and then the switch will start flashing and it will not go down when I stop. I have to turn the car off and then start it back up. It has done it strait for 3 days now! I'm going to go to the dealer ship monday and have them look at it, I will tell them that I'm not the only one with this problem.
