Default Can anyone please translate/describe what these codes mean?

Hi everyone; I'm here on the continuing saga of my '04 XF, 6 spd. It has a little over 132K, still is drivable, though I haven't driven it in a while since it failed inspection because the brake light is consistently on (I live in Cameron County, TX)

https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...tml#post793351

I have no speedometer (though my husband, who just got home from months at sea, told me that when he changed the speed sensors, the one for the drivers' side front is smashed.

Anyway, I still have the ESP/BAS light, Brake, check engine, ABS and the 'other' brake light on. From what I could try to gather from reading lots of threads, I think it might be the ABS module, and I really really hope that whatever is wrong is something that I can do a plug-n-play and NOT need to head to the local Chrysler dealerships since both managed to royally p%$&^ me off.

(breathe....)

My husband hooked up whatever codereader he bought that can read codes for most foreign cars, adn while I wrote down the huge list for my car, neither he nor I have any idea what all this means.

Can anyone help?

1 Code Found: 1
Monitors n/a: 3
Monitors ok: 7
Monitors Inc: 0
(I have NO idea what any of the above means)
An Auto Scan of the VTG Transfer Case showed fault |2

Control Module 1. $07E8 -P0300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
Control Module 2. $07EC

Code 2EBD (No BSG message from alternator) <I am not getting any lack of power from the battery)
Code 55C3 (Not present. No DSC specified, VTG AWP limp home control activated)
Code 55O0 (not present). VTG transfer case, steering wheel angle, 0xC4 error, receiver VTG, transmitter DSC

6. EKPSfuel pump control not working
7. VTC Valvetronic OK
8. VTC Valvetronic 2 OK

More codes;;;;
E729 - (a/c?)
A6CF
A559
A817
6140
CE99
6EC4
9405

Auto Scan:
5 Fault |2 (VTG transfer case 55C3 - limp home, 55D0)
Fault |2 (AL Active Front Steering (AFS70, 6140)
34 Fault |2 (FRM2 footwell module 2 9CB1)
48 Fault |2 CAN communication analysis (55D0, FFFF)

I know this is all gibberish; I'll try to see if I can somehow download the whole thing from my husband's scanner onto a computer and try to upload it as a page.

But, I know that there's a lot going on here, and eventually I know I need to take it to a dealership: I would just like to know if any of this could be repaired by replacing modules, or at least what kind of repairs I would need to fix all this. From past dealings with the dealerships, having a decent grasp of what I know is wrong with the car will mean that they cannot just go scanning and charging anything and everything they want (which is what they did to me and why I am so reluctant to take it to a dealership).

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

I can only guess that the scanner is not set up correctly or it is the wrong type of scanner for the Crossfire.

What he said. Is there an Auto zone around that can give you codes?

I'll bet $5 that it's an Autel AutoLink AL539 or equivalent. I just bought one for my xFire and the boy's GTi.
All of those codes are explained in the unit. Do you have the owners manual? It will explain how to access the text explanations.

Or on their website:

Autel.us | Car & Vehicle Diagnostic equipment | Engine ODB Software | MaxiDas DS780

Product User Manuals

DTC Library

Yes, it's an Autel. I really don't want to rummage through the pile of manuals that are in a corner of my husband's 'mancave' section of the garage, so I'm downloading the manuals from the website.

Thanks guys. The local autozone did run a scan when this first happened and they had no clue what the problem(s) is/are. I'll check through the manual again; hopefully whatever is wrong with the car will be something that can be fized without needing to head to the dealerships.

You guys are great.

Sit first, then-gracefully swing your legs in. Reverse to exit!

But sometimes, the sitting is the hard part (because the car is so wonderfully low to the ground...)

I have always wanted to just slide in over the top of the door like the Dukes of Hazzard did... but I would probably get stuck.
