Dash break light on, won't shift all of the time

Dash break light on, won't shift all of the time
My 2008 Crossfire with the 3.2 is not shifting in and out gear properly. Sometimes in limp mode, sometime alright. The break warning light is on intermittently. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
