Electric seat problem
Hi can anyone give me some advice about electric seat problem on my 2004 crossfire. I bought the car and the seats were not working at all. I changed the relay for the seats and all worked fine for about 15mins, then the drivers side stop working. Passenger one working ok still. I still got to double check the fuses but wondered if this was a common fault. Many thanks jason
Not only common, but UNIVERSAL !

Fuse #21 is the passenger seat.
Dave, I don't see it that way. Seems to me that fuse #1 tells the module that the ignition is on, fuse #24 supplies the voltage for BOTH seats :
( Am I looking at the wrong service manual ? )

That's the heated seat crct diagram. I believe the OP is talking about the power seat part of it
I have just checked fuse and 22 has blown. It is a 30amp one which I changed and seat worked for a few seconds then blew fuse again. Can anyone tell me the most probale cause. Only a problem on drivers seat. Thanks.
If the motor does run for a few seconds before the fuse blows, it is most likely the motor itself.
There's 2 ways to find out :
1. Replace the motor. ( swap it between the seats, lot's of work but you'll be able to clean up those 10 year old buggers that have been hiding under the seats. )
2. jump the fuse with a big *** wire and look for smoke : MOST DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED !!!!
