Crankshaft Position Sensor (CPS)
Crankshaft Position Sensor (CPS). Replaced CPS about a month ago with Bosch 261 210 170 M/B CPS. Worked great took a vacation to the Tail Of The Dragon. Drove home, drove it a couple of times and now it won't even crank. I checked the error message and it showed bad CPS. How long do these last and do I need to keep an extra on hand?
Many times it is not the sensor itself, but the connector to the sensor.
See if you can clean up the contacts in the connector and try it again.

Well, the RCM could be the reason. Time to take it out, get out the magnifying glass and check those connections. Or, take advantage of Tighed1's offer and have him send the loaner program RCM. That is the best bet. He will fix the relay problem if it is present as well.
RCM was the Problem. pulled it and found cracks around three posts. Soldered it and fired right up. Yeah ! CPS code turned off as well. It seems to me this is something that will happen to ALL Crossfires. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL !
Thanks to You Crossfire Forum I was able to do the work myself and save a boat load of money.
