Question Another cry for help

Tired of searching the forum and getting lost and off track when I click link after link so I'll just ask and have the answer delivered to me.

I've searched and searched about a throttle body upgrade for the srt6 and to this day I see that there hasn't been anyone that has one. At least that's what I've gathered in my research.

So my real question is, has anyone had their 74mm (stock) throttle body ported/bored out to a larger size since there doesn't seem to be a direct plug and play bigger TB upgrade? I also know that larger butterfly plates would have to be put in to accommodate the larger inner diameter.

With porting out intake manifolds, y-pipes, SC inlets, and cylinders, why isn't a ported TB included in those topics?? Am I overlooking something crucial here?? I know that porting the TB is pointless without port matching the SC inlet.

Thoughts? Experience? Knowledge? Thanks XF Fam.

Since my joining the forum in 2006, numerous upgrades have been discussed, with the exception of a larger throttle body for the SRT6. A few SRT6 throttle bodies have been swapped onto a N/A. You may want to send an email to Needswings, since they offer numerous performance parts for the SRT6. I do not believe they exist as a bolt on option.
Good luck in your search.....

yea, i did the 74mm TB upgrade on my NA that i drive daily. I still have the stock 68mm NA TB. if they out diameter of the 68 is the same as the 74, i might have someone port out the 68 as a trial and error and see if its even possible. Say for instance if i have it ported to an 80mm, i would have to track down an 80mm TB and use the butterfly plates. Sounds easy right? Apparently not. I talked to rob at needswings awhile back and he said they were doing some testing with a bigger TB, not sure wut size TB or which p/n TB he was using tho.

Wow! I'd love to see something aftermarket for the N/A.
