Default Fuel Hose Size?

I've been all over this site and can't find any posts telling fuel hose sizes. I'm going to replace the fuel pump and filter on my 2004 coupe soon. I plan to install new hoses, so I'd like to know the size(s) of the rubber hoses used around the fuel pump and filter. I assume cut-to-length generic fuel injection hose can be used, but wonder if a metric size is required instead of the 3/8" and 1/4" injection hose used for domestic vehicles. Comments and advice are greatly welcome.

I just checked the service manual and the owner's manual that are available in pdf format from this site, and neither lists fuel line size. But lots of good advice on testing the fuel system. Too bad about the specs, since size matters.
