Code reader not communicating with computer
I took my 05 roadster in to the Chrysler dealer for a transmission issue. They could not get their machine to communicate with the Crossfire computer. I have taken it in before with no problem getting codes. Does anyone know what could be wrong? They couldn't figure it out.
Have you tried taking it to Advance Auto or Auto Zone where they read codes for $0? If they can then, the Dealer has a problem with their reader, if they can't then the problem is in your car.
If you have an Android smart phone or tablet, the cost of a very intelligent code reader for any car since 1996 is $20 - $15 for a
and $5 for the Torque Pro App from the store.
I have a mini because there is not that much knee room in my Crossie. They also have diagnostic LEDS to show the OBD is working.
