Default ECU Programming

I purchased a backup ECU awhile back and was wondering if anyone has suggestions on how to get it programmed to work in my car? I was told it was new (unused) when I bought it.

It should have the OEM tune on it, I can't imagine that it would be blank, meaning no information on it.

"used" ECU's have to be wiped of the vin encoding and programmed with the matching cars vin to work. I was talking with Josh (sk8erjosh09) about this. I'm pretty sure he can code a blanked ECU.. but doesn't have the means to wipe them.

Well an OBDII reader will pull the vin.. but I wouldn't want to risk making the other Germans mad in the car.. LOL. Not knowing if it's been done before without any issues. So I'm at you would just have to send it to "whoever" you feel best about dealing with..whether to check or program..
