Default shifting problems

has anyone experienced the crossifre not wanting to shift out of 1st gear. The car will go into park, reverse, neutral, and drive. However once in drive no matter what I do it just stays in 1st gear.
Any one experience this type of problem with the car?

No, but I would take it to Chrysler right away. Its probably your clutch, or transmission, or even possibly slipped a gear. Did you check to see what your transmission fluid looks like. If it looks metalic in any way you at least have a starting point. Definately take it to the dealer. If you can't get into any higher gear inorder to drive it to your local Chrysler dealer. You should schedual for them to get it,... like today. I don't want to ever read on this forum that anyone has blown anything up on there cars.

Seems to be one of these:
1. Connecter ballast unit. Output speed sensor loose or incorrectly connected.
2. Output speed sensor defective.
3. Gear recognition switch needs replacing. If it won't upshift below 5000 rpm. (more than likely this one)

Take to dealer!!!
