Default Optima G34 - 13 yr old battery

My battery died in the XF. I have an optima G34 that is 11 yrs old, sat in a mustang outside during that time only used three starts in 2006. I grabbed it today and it still had a 7.2 V charge, put it on the charger and it charged to 12 quick. My question is, do you think its safe to use on the XF, with the car being so finicky with electronics, I thought I would ask you all. Thanks

If it charged to 12 too quick the battery is shot and will soon let you know.
Get another battery and feel confident when you go out. Batteries are cheaper than a tow home anytime.

Thumbs up to Dave's response. A tow 9 miles home when the Graphite's ignition locked up in 2011 cost me $90.
You can almost buy a battery for that.

I'll just leave out of this post my diatribe about running old or questionable batteries in these cars, given that you mention the electronics of the car in your post...........

Thanks for your input guys. I took the SuperStart that was in the XF to O'Reilly Auto and they were able to charge it and ran a test and said it was fine. Apparently, I have two bad chargers, one I just bought a NOCO Genuis.

Going to recycle the Optima.
