Default Fault Code Help

Got my Launch CRP123 odb2 and got the below codes. I did a search on the forums and did not see anything. And went through the list here .

I chose Benz, R170 16 Pin and C320 to do the test on. I have a 2008. Did I pick the wrong one to scan on? or am I just lucky to get codes no one else has?

My BAS\ESP and Airbag lights are on. The BAS\ESP can not be reset via wheel left/right.

P2404
P1018-000

Thanks in advance

Got mine too. Did you do the update ?
Not very intuitive, but I got it done.
I would agree that benx R170 C320 is probably correct, I haven't hooked mine to the Crossfire yet, but I did run it on the 2002 Concorde and it worked fine.
P2404 - possibly the charcoal cannister ( back with the pump and filter ) ?
P1018 - maybe the short runner / long runner flap inside the intake manifold ?
There is a little vacuum line that has caused problems on that for other folks.

I guess your just lucky. I even went to totalcardignostics.com , those codes aren't listed. Try C320 and the R170 platform ,
on the Actron site , I find those codes , BUT its not where ala_Xfire is...lol.

Take a look at that site George, see what you think.

I hooked my Crap 123 up to the XF after I updated it, there IS a selection for the SLK320, I chose that.
I ran all scans and diagnostics, nothing wrong on mine.
Readouts jive with my UltraGuage, and this thing even gives you oil temperature and battery voltage !
( no oil pressure though )

Updated the CRP (thanks ala xfire). Ran it again.

Codes and Readout
Transmission - P2404 The stop lamp switch signal sent from the traction system via the CAN bus is implausible.
ESP - 1018-000 The fault code is not found in the database.

Did some searching and found P2404 here. However, I don't know what that means or what to fix.

I can not find anything on the ESP fault code 1018-000. The traction light on the speedo does not come on and I can't not turn off BAS/ESP with the button.

The CRP won't read the Airbag DTC. It goes into the Hint screen and stalls, nothing happens.

Well ...you have come up with the codes I did. Thought I was crazy (boss says I am). The other code is for the seatbelt tensioner or retractor. BUT , I got these codes off the aforementioned site , using an 04. C320 base model, ( not 4maic ). Remember ...put in wrong parameters , get wrong answers.

How is the seatbelt tensioner related to ESP?

The site shows the same description as the odb2. I don't understand why you keep saying put in wrong parameters get wrong answers, I have said from the start what I am putting in and they are correct. So far responses on this forum are completely unrelated to what the issue is.

Wrong parameter means you're not using the SLK320 model. As far as the seat belt tensioner/ retractor , the code I found (P1018) on the Actron site said that's what its tied to. On our cars , It runs into the ORC which acts as readiness for the SRS an that lights the airbag light, which is on , on your dash..correct. Good luck...

FYI , neither one of those codes are listed in our service manuals. Ala_Xfire found an answer , I found an answer , hope you find an answer that works.

If you up have ESP you have no need for a code reader, you'll just know.
Cue up the haunting music.
