Default 74mm throttle body

So is this the plug and play 74mm throttle body?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/322592268044

Do I need to buy anything else for the swap. I looked at a few post but I'm confused.

Yep, that's the one, you will need a new O ring but that's all.

Like George said below, make sure you get a new 'O' ring (don't reuse the old, its deformed). You can hold it in place with some petroleum jelly so it stays in place while assembling. IF after you run it a couple of cycles (so the car learns the new TB) it still hesitates/stumbles/runs rough, you just might have lost the groove /'O' ring alignment while assembly. It is usually where the vac leak is. That is why it is so very important to make sure it stays in place while assembling the TB to the intake. Good luck, you'll LOVE to peppier response.

Right on George, a new 'O' ring is a MUST!

Don't you have to change out the MAF sensor also. Maybe "hip" him to that as well.

Just follow Reckahs PDF for all instructions, it tells you the O-ring part number as well. If you know of a supplier of O-rings you can take the old one there and save some money. A Viton O-ring should be used because of the highish temperature.
The PDF talks about a larger MAF but you can ignore that info if you are not adding them.
For better performance you should add the larger 74mm MAF.
The MAF sensor in the car now is fine, even if the MAF itself is changed to the 74mm one the MAF sensor now in use is put in the 74mm MAF sensor.

Do I need to do the engine cover? I don't care about it and I don't want to do it if I don't have to (probably a stupid question). Are Mercedes maf known to have issues or to go bad? If I can get one second hand it would be awesome.

I said that is where to get the part number, nothing else.
The MAF sensor rarely fails and the MAF never.

I think I found out that if you want to use the NW dual cai you don't need the maf housing. Just the throttle body.

Either the single or dual CAI from NW has provision for the MAF/IAT sensor, so the plastic housing is not needed.

And it works with the larger throttle body?

Yes, the 68 mm and the 74 mm have the same OD where the CAI connects.

From the pdfs it says to keep the maf sensor from the xf. If I want more performance I should upgrade too?

I have a check engine light p2098 is this one of the items that may correct the code. I hate to take it to a diagnostic center and the sensors that it may be are expensive i would hate to buy the sensors and not fix the issue..
Any advice would help. Thank you
