Car won't lock / unlock
Ha!
Well I finally pulled my finger out and had a look today.
My suspicions were correct. It was the alarm siren - has a dead short internally.
Disconnected the plug, replaced fuse 9 and back in business.
Just need to get a new siren at some point.
Good job I had a small puller as well, the wipers were stuck fast!!

Let us know how you got on. In the end it took less than half an hour.
well sure enough my siren and connector block were melted. Unplugged it and no difference, still no central locking. Looked in the engine bay fuse box and I can see someone has bypassed something to add a relay to the fuel pump. Looks like it will be a case of finding the wiring diagram and going through it. Bugger
Hmm,
I'll have a look through my diagrams tmrw night mate.
In the meantime can you confirm the following:
Is fuse 9 deffo not blown?
Do your interior lights work?
Does your locking still work when using the switch on the dash?
Maybe not connected, but seems like someone added the fuel relay bypass as the rcm is faulty.

fuse 9 is fine,, interior lights work, all locks work with the dash switch.
think it's the key? I only have one so can't use another to test
yeah I've tried a few times. no rush sid. I will try and have a look over the weekend and see if I can identify anything else.
Anyways, I've got some more ideas.
If you want to message me your number, I can give you a buzz tmrw evening - easier than multiple posts on here.
However, if we resolve it, we'll still update the thread to help others.
I think I've narrowed it down to a couple of things, but off to eat and watch telly now...
I have the same problem and it turned out a short in the siren. I unplugged the siren and fuse #9 worked. The dome light came on, but I do not have lock/unlock the doors function.
Missed my Crossfire so very much that I just got another, 130K miles, has issues as I guessed that it would and hate to see these cuties fall into disrepair with no one to love them - ssoooo - am finding out that what the seller described as "needs batteries" may be much more serious. Neither key fob works, and interior lights also - which I have just read and learned may be associated. I am no mechanic but do I understand that replacing the key fob may not be the solution? Previous owner did an "upgrade" by adding some sort of a pack so that the halogen lights he installed did not get to hot. Could this be the issue with the whole electrical system malfunction?
