Default Voltage / Amperage Drop ?

Anyone notice the voltage drop while idling and turning on/off the headlights/fog lights etc? I have been noticing that when idling and I turn the lamps on/off the car idle drops and or increases respectively. I'm wondering if an aftermarket voltage booster would eliminate the issue.

Check the main battery ground. I noticed a big improvement in performance electrical and power when I changed it out to a 0 gauge ground to the factory grounding point.

Could you please explain this a little more? What is battery ground? The - pole? And what's a 0 gauge?
Sorry, just a Swiss.

Thanks.
