Frustrated! Car won't start!!
Hello Forum!
Hoping someone can help. I have a 2004 Crossfire that is cranking but won't start. I replaced the battery in June, so I know that's not it. Any idea as to what the problem is?
Also, I'm having the dreaded sticky key problem and was wondering if there was a temporary fix to it? I'm going to try and fix it myself when the weather cools off here in AZ, but for now I'm hesitant to go anywhere for fear of being stranded. Someone suggested spraying something inside. Bad idea??
Thanks for your help!!!

The fix for the sticky key is to fix it as per the instructions that I'm sure you have already found here. If you spray WD40 into the tumblers it can't get to the wedge/cam area where the issue is - go ahead and try it - but you are setting yourself up for a "Dr. Phil" moment. If you let it go and it locks up, you will have bought yourself a LOT more grief than just getting in there and fixing it now, while you can.
A crank but wont start can be:
When you say "it's trying", I do wonder what that means. Sounds like an important clue, if it is hitting on only a few cylinders, or running lean, could be bad gas or (again) low fuel pressure.
A crank but wont start can be:
- Bad crank sensor
- Bad cam sensor
- Bad fuel pump (How's the fuel pressure?)
- Bad fuel pump relay (How's the fuel pressure?)
